Guide for Authors

Manuscript Preparation:

Author(s) should prepare their manuscripts, clearly legible, typed single-spaced on only one side of the paper, with one column for abstract only while for text, equations, and figures on two columns, 10 pt. Authors should include their names (first name, middle initial, and last name) and their current address for correspondence. Headings and subheadings should be used throughout the text to divide the subject matter into important, logical parts. The document must be fully compatible with MS Word.

2- It is preferable to prepare each manuscript in the following order:

The title should be short but informative, centered, bold, and in capital letters with a letter size of 14 pt. Bold Times New Roman fonts.

Author(s), full name, affiliation, and address.

Abstract of not more than 200 words in English and Arabic. (Keywords should be included).

Text illustrations, figures, and/or photographs should appear consecutively throughout the text.

Conclusions.

Acknowledgments, if any.

Nomenclature, if any.

Papers should be submitted in English with a short abstract written in Arabic (if possible) of up to 200 words, clearly indicating the object and scope of the paper as well as the results achieved.

All sections and subsections should be numbered.

SI Units should be used. Other units may be given in parenthesis.

All mathematics and special symbols must be typewritten using MS Equation Editor and defined in the text when they first appear. If a list of symbols is needed, it should be arranged alphabetically under a Nomenclature section.

References Citations within the body of the paper are given as Arabic numerals. The numerals are of the same type size and font as the text material, enclosed in square brackets [ ], and precede any text-related punctuation that may appear.

References must be written in the order they are cited in the text and multiple references are given within a single set of brackets.

1- Full-length papers, containing original research work.

2- Technical notes/Short Communications

3- Review articles

The recommended length for Original Papers is 3000-6000 words.

Peer Review

1- IJHS journal publishes original work that would have bold impacts.

2- Before proceeding with the review process of the manuscript, it will be prescreened to check the similarities and plagiarism by iThenticate software. 

3- All contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the IJHR journal.

4- All manuscripts considered suitable are typically sent to a minimum of three independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the manuscript (blind review process).

Review Speed

- Six weeks from manuscript submission to the initial decision on the article.

- Seven weeks from revised manuscript submission to the final editorial decision.

Permissions

Author(s) wishing to include tables, figures, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received by the IJHR journal without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
